SEPTEMBER MEETING

SEPTEMBER 14TH, 2020 AT 7PM

In September we will be hosting a lecture from Doris Lovadina-Lee on her quilting journey from traditional quilter to art quilter and fabric dyer.

Doris Lovadina-Lee is a textile artist working with hand dyed and commercial fabrics to create abstract, minimal textile paintings. Her quilting style has evolved from traditional to a modern minimalist aesthetic that references traditional blocks. The use of colour plays an important role in Doris' art quilts. She began dyeing her own fabrics using shibori techniques that are incorporated into her current work. Doris belongs to two guilds, reads far too many blogs and Instagrams daily or tries to! You can see her current work by visiting her Facebook page  or her blog.

As always, bring any projects you would like to show off during Show and Share.
