Robin Bogaert
Robin Bogaert is a long arm quilter, owner and creator of quiltingintheloft.com and has many years of quilting experience. Robin was the past owner of a quilt shop in Windsor, Ontario and is now located in Waterloo. Robin's roots in quilting are traditional,
however she appreciates modern quilt design and considers the focus of work to be designing, teaching, free motion quilting and thread painting. Robin is a past member of Windsor Quilters Guild, Erie Shores Guild and Waterside Quilters and keeps up to date with current quilting and sewing by being involved with the Elmira Needle Sisters and Waterloo County Quilter's Guild. The tri city areas included in Waterloo Region sponsor an abundance of quilt related activities and resources along with lovely farms, local grown produce and a thriving arts community and therefore Robin is excited about her contribution to the quilting community.

Mary Dodd
A teacher by heart, working in the education system for 35 years she thoroughly enjoys all aspects of the quilting world.
Her quilting career started with a Grandmother’s Flower garden design in a McCall’s magazine she found when in Australia in 1974, and has not stopped since. She has taught, worked with and supported many students, sewers and others. She has exhausted at least 10 sewing machines, in her endeavour to follow her mantras “Better Finished than Perfect”, “Wack-it together” and “Get-Er-Done” which has served her well over the years.

January Meeting Zoom

January ZOOM Speaker – Melinda Noble from
Sew Productive
Melinda opened her shop in Acton to fill a need for our community. She listened to
many makers around her complaining of not having a local place to shop and learn to
create. So that’s how Melinda’s shop Sew Productive came to be.
Melinda considers herself a jack of all trades. She enjoys sewing as well as being a
sewing machine technician. Her shop has expanded since opening in 2022 and she is
just a hop, skip, and a jump for most of us! Please check out her website at

Teresa Mackie
May 13, 2024 at 7 pm
Teresa has been quilting for over twenty years. Working with many different styles and techniques, enjoying each one of them. To her it is all about the journey, the enjoyment, and each moment spent creating. Finishing is just a byproduct of her quilting experience and very often a happy accident.
Teresa has entered her quilts into several local shows, and has won an award here and there. She is very proud and happy that her quilts are admired by quilters and artists alike.
Members from the Erin Village Quilters will be at the Arts by the pond, demonstrating how to make a Kawandi Quilt.
